Bloody Joe Public

Well, Rabbit in the Headlights did not go ahead tonight as no audience turned up. Probably because it was a nice sunny evening down by the seaside. But at least I did get to spend a nice evening having beers in a room full of comedians trying out material and hurling insults at each other. Who needs a paying audience? Well I did, actually, I was supposed to be getting £20 out of that.

Stand-Up Gig Tonight

If you can make it to Brighton tonight, come to Rabbit in the Headlights upstairs at the Three and Ten, just off St James Street and the Old Steine. It's a monthly night for new and upcoming comics which tonight will be hosted by myself.

If you're a stand-up and would be interesting in performing at a future Rabbit, let me know and I can put you in touch with the organisers. It's a great night for first timers, I did my first ever stand-up at the first ever Rabbit in the Headlights 5 years ago!

Mugs

You know in cop dramas where the suspect says "I'm not saying anything till my lawyer gets here"? Those people are idiots. I would insist on a cup of tea as well.

Dolphins are Wankers

Two people at work just had a conversation about swimming with dolphins, right in front of me. Can you believe that?

It may be the fault of the humans who go out of their way to find dolphins to swim with just to prove how middle-class-yet-in-touch-with-mother-sodding-earth they are, but I think we all secretly know that dolphins are wankers. If they were people they would be smug arses called Tarquin and Jocasta, driving their 4-wheel drives to the shops five minutes walk from their Chiswick h… Continue

I HAVE SENT YOU ANOTHER MESSAGE. THIS SITE IS LIKE WATERSHIP DOWN - TOO MANY BOLT HOLES AND HIDEY-PLACES! A VERITABLE LABYRINTH. I THINK IT'S ON THE SAME PAGE AS 'DOLPHINS ARE WANKERS' POST.

Hi Robin. Thank you for the recent comments. Hope you received my message today (27th May). Looking forward to you sending me the information for PR purposes on the rest of the merry band at BNC, and hope we can manage a chat as soon as possible regarding new shows/schedule for next year and sponsorship needed. Lots of luck with Rabbit In The Headlights: is it a kind of Watership Down Meets Top Gear, kind of thing? XXX

Good morning Robin, as Maid Marian from behind a sturdy oak somewhere in Ashy-De-La-Zouche (I gained Remedial Geography at O Level). I have left scattered messages for you all over BNC. Don't fib about the puns, I have told Lloyd of your Agent Provocateur status on Twitter. How is your epic poem, SRSLY, coming along? I have been penning a new Self-Help book called, 'Small Talk During Colonic Therapy' : my agent said, although crap to begin with, she can see I may be flushed with success soon.

Until Plotkin embraces the dominion of PR he is relegated to Co-op gingersnaps only!

Fear not, Malvolio. You cannot educate pork, as the maxim goes. Your gilded audience awaits you on a higher plane (place two bricks under current stage joists) and your acclaim as a raconteur/jongleur of note will be only a heartbeat away.

(PS: That is another £10 you own me!).

Where shall I send Gold Blend and Case of Twixes (really)?

It's all good man, the RSS feed on the front page is an aggrigate feed anyway, so there will be lots of traffic through that (hopefully), and potentially stuff might slip on by.
